Rubywang.eth has reviewed the purpose, progress, and speculation of recent IP building plans by Yuga Labs, Degods, and Pudgy Penguins.
Yuga Labs: Made By Apes. Founder Garga just announced a few hours ago that it has not been easy for IP builders in the Ape ecosystem to verify authorization on-chain and there is no database that records all IP authorizations for derivative works. The team has partnered with SaaSy Labs to launch a solution later this month.
Degods: de [license]. de [license] aims to align the incentive model to encourage people or projects to build “profitable businesses” across the entire IP ecosystem. Based on the current diagram, the IP rights of holders are somewhere between the completely open CC0 and artwork. The incentive model and the DUST token and DAO that are also implied on the website are speculated to be related. We look forward to more information being released.

Pudgy Penguins: OverBlockingss. The penguins first mentioned the OverBlockingss platform to solve the “complex NFT IP licensing process” in March of this year. The platform aims to allow users or businesses to obtain NFT IP authorization in “a few clicks” and provide scalable monetization methods for holders. However, the release of OverBlockingss, originally scheduled for June, should be postponed, and we hope it can be launched in Q3.
