From product competition to bare-knuckle fighting, Musk and Zuckerberg arrange an offline “cage fight”!

Musk wants to have a “cage fight” with Zuckerberg, and this news has instantly set off the whole network.

This Wednesday, Tesla CEO Musk announced on his own Twitter that he wanted to have a “cage fight” with Meta CEO Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg immediately responded to the challenge, replying on Instagram, “Give me the address.”

Musk’s reply was simple and powerful: “Las Vegas octagonal cage.” Musk’s mother opposed this fight from the beginning. After Musk gave the location of the “Las Vegas octagonal cage,” Maye Musk responded by saying, “I’m not kidding. Use words, not fists. In armchairs. Four feet apart. The most interesting person wins.”

Thus, within a few words, a line-up between the top figures in the technology industry was established offline.

The onlookers are all curious, are the two of them reliable with such light words, or are they joking?

In response, Musk tweeted in response to a netizen’s tweet, “If it’s real, I’ll go.”

Meta spokesperson Iska Saric even told the media that the reply made by Zuckerberg has been confirmed to be no joke.

Cage fighting is a form of competition promoted by mixed martial arts organizations such as the UFC, and the “octagonal cage” here refers to the cage around the competition venue, because it has eight corners.

How could the two world-class billionaires and technology giants “get into a quarrel” and even come to the point of fighting?

This may be related to the competition between Meta and Twitter.

Earlier this week, Meta said it had released a new product codenamed “Project 92.” It is reported that the application is expected to be named Threads and is intended to compete with Twitter.

It can allow users to follow accounts they already follow on Instagram, which is seen as a powerful competitor to Twitter. Zuckerberg said he wanted to create a “sensible Twitter.”

Musk immediately mocked him:

If the two were to fight, who would win?

Zuckerberg, 39, is not only younger, but has also been receiving mixed martial arts (MMA) training, and has won jujitsu competitions. Earlier this year, he also claimed to have successfully completed the “Murphy Challenge” workout in less than 40 minutes (running 1.6 kilometers, doing 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and running another 1.6 kilometers, all while carrying a 9-kilogram weight pack).

Zuckerberg posted a photo claiming to have completed the Murphy Challenge in 39 minutes

However, the soon-to-be 52-year-old Musk also has his own advantages. At 188 centimeters, he clearly has a physical advantage, and he has talked about participating in “really hardcore street fights” while growing up in South Africa.

He also tweeted on Wednesday night about his own “killer move”: “I have a killer move called ‘the walrus,’ where I just lie on the opponent and do nothing.”

He added, “I barely ever exercise, except to pick up my kids and throw them in the air.”

This pre-match “light-hearted” statement has made people even more curious about his “real strength”…

Currently, the spectators are showing great interest and expectation for this showdown between the giants of the tech industry.

A meme image created by enthusiastic netizens.

Although both sides are now pledging that they will not “back out” of the match, it is still uncertain whether the match will actually take place and how serious Musk’s tweet is.

Tech media The Verge, on behalf of the majority of the audience, shouted out, “Don’t be afraid, Musk!”
