According to sources cited by The Block, Wall Street giant Fidelity is expected to submit its own application for a bitcoin spot ETF. Sources say Fidelity could submit the file as early as Tuesday. Fidelity previously applied to establish a bitcoin spot fund called Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust in 2021, but it was rejected by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in early 2022. The Block contacted Fidelity regarding the application for a bitcoin spot ETF, but Fidelity declined to comment.
