This week’s highlights: The latest Ethereum execution layer core developer meeting discussed the implementation complexity of binding EIP4788 (beacon root in EVM), EIP6988 (preventing slashed validators from being selected as block proposers), and engine API version control; Dankrad tested large blocks on the mainnet to determine the secure blob size for each block and recommended increasing the target of blobs per block to 3 at most 6, increasing from 2 and 4 respectively.
